What happens when we no longer need a fractional CFO?

One of the structural advantages of the fractional model is the straightforward exit. When a company grows to the point where a full-time CFO hire is justified, or when a specific project is complete, the fractional engagement concludes without the complications of ending a permanent employment. At Peak Consulting, a planned handover is standard practice: documentation, introductions to key contacts, and a structured transition so that nothing is lost in the change. We have done this repeatedly. It is not a failure of the engagement — it is the natural end of a successful one.
